Mr Howard Klein
M.D., F.A.C.S., F.R.C.S.(C).
Mr. Howard Klein graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and received training in general surgery at McGill University. He completed plastic surgery training at Duke University.
Mr. Howard Klein is certified by the following.
The Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) .
American Board of Plastic Surgery.
American Board of Surgery.
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in both plastic surgery and general surgery.
He has written numerous chapters for major plastic surgery textbooks and has authored over twenty five scientific publications.
He is an assistant clinical professor of surgery and has served as visiting professor and lecturer throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Mr. Klein is a member of the following organizations

- American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS)
- American Association of Hand Surgery
- California Society of Plastic Surgeons (CSPS)
- As well as over ten other national and regional societies
- A committed vegetarian and endurance athlete, Mr. Klein firmly believes in the role of diet and exercise in a comprehensive program of fitness and well-being.
Mr. Klein has completed numerous endurance events such as the Ironman Canada Triathlon, The World's Toughest Triathlon, The Western States 100mile Endurance Run, The Leadville Trail 100mile Endurance Run, The Vermont 100mile Endurance Run and over 50 other marathons. He has completed numerous open water swims and the arduous Davis Double Century Cycling Events.
In 2002 Mr. Klein moved his practice to Christchurch, New Zealand where he acts as a consultant surgeon to Christchurch Hospital, St. Georges Hospital, and Southern Cross Hospital.
He holds regular clinics in Timaru and Invercargill, and is an active member of the plastic surgery unit in Christchurch.
Mr. Klein's interest and expertise in cosmetic surgery is based on his nearly 20 years of experience in the United States with a high profile aesthetic surgery practice.
He is delighted to bring these same interests to New Zealand
