Mr Rowan French

Rowan French is a gastrointestinal and endocrine surgeon with a strong interest in metabolic surgery, including both under-nutrition and over-nutrition. He is a member of many general and obesity surgical societies. He is committed to the treatment of patients at both ends of the nutritional scale. His bariatric work with patients suffering from obesity is curiously balanced by his role as clinical leader of the Advanced Nutrition Support Team at Waikato Hospital that deals with severely malnourished patients. His preferred bariatric procedure is the Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy.
