Mr Richard Flint

MBChB PhD FRACS

Richard Flint is a graduate of Auckland Medical School, fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and a member of both the Obesity Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (OSSANZ) and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons (ASMBS). He completed ASGME-accredited subspecialty training fellowships in laparoscopic bariatric surgery (Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston) and surgical oncology (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York).

He holds a consultant post at Christchurch Public Hospital and Senior Lecturership with the Christchurch School of Medicine. Richard offers laparoscopic gastric bypass, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and LapBand through his rooms at Southern Obesity Surgery. He also has a general surgical and endoscopic practice through Christchurch Surgical Associates.
