Dr Chris Thomson

Head And Neck Surgery And Facial Plastics

Dr Chris Thomson is a graduate of Otago University, New Zealand, a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Australasian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He has trained both in Facial Plastic and Ear, Nose and Throat surgery.

He is a Consultant Otolaryngologist, Head and Neck Surgeon at Christchurch Public Hospital and a Senior Lecturer with the Christchurch School of Medicine. His sub specialty interests are in Facial Plastic Surgery, Rhinology (management of nasal and sinus disorders) and Paediatric Ear, Nose and Throat disorders. Chris consults privately at the St George’s Medical Centre and operates at both the St George’s and Southern Cross private hospitals.

He has completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery at The Stuart Clinic, Sydney, under Dr Martyn Mendelsohn a leading Australian Facial Plastic Surgeon. Chris has authored a number of published articles in international journals and has presented papers on rhinoplasty and other topics at international meetings.
